A forgotten story

I was just watching Peppa Pig with Annabelle today, and it was an episode where Peppa and her little brother George go to Daddy Pig's office for the day. They get to draw on a white board with board-marker pens...
As I was watching it, I had a sudden flash back to a memory of a time where where I was at work with you (I dont remember which office exactly, but I think it was when you had your own office space on the ground floor of the house in West street, when you were working as an insurance broker).
You told me I could draw on the white board whilst you made some work calls elsewhere. I spent some time being very creative only to find, to my absolute horror that one of the markers I had used was in fact not a board marker, but a permanent marker for a flip chart...
I was very upset, and didn't know how to tell you, I was convinced you would be furious. I couldn't have been more wrong, you displayed amazing patience and reassured me that everything would be okay: that you could sort it out with some rubbing alcohol, and make it as good as new. I remember the feeling of immense relief that I wasn't in trouble, and that I hadn't ruined your important white board after all.
The next time I visited, I could still see the slightly faded image of my previous doodles, though you never mentioned it again, and I was too guilty to bring it up myself... I found the memory rather touching when I recalled it through adult eyes today, and it makes me glad that I sat and watched Peppa Pig as I had completely forgotten about it until now.
What a wonderfully patient and loving father you were to me. I miss you so so much today.
