Thoughts

I’ve been thinking of you today Dad, and for the last few days… I miss you so much. I can’t believe it’s been ELEVEN YEARS now since you passed away. I still think about you so often. I loved looking through all the photos of you today and keeping the memory of you alive. You really were one in a gazillion! Thank you for being so available to me emotionally when you were alive. I really miss having our chats. You were so easy to talk to. I so miss this. xxx

I've always felt uncomfortable with things like this, but Nick popped into my head a couple of weeks ago - I'm not sure how or why - and it brought back to me some great evenings in the Sun in Faversham back in the 80s and 90s. And seeing the picture in the gallery just now of Nick and Jim's estate agency reminded me of my old house in West Street bought from them in 1982! Nick lived a few doors down and later directly opposite. My children Tom and Harriet (now 38 and 36 respectively) loved going over the road to watch the Simpsons on Sky (which we didn't have), so a big thanks from them too! Sadly I have no pictures of that time - two marriages and two countries later. Anyway - cheers, Nick! A pint of Masterbrew next time we meet!

Dad.... I so wished I could call you today! Bubble got into her chosen school, and was awarded the Heads Scholarship (For Academia, Music and Sport)... Apparently only the second such scholarship awarded by the Head, and she send the most wonderful, personal letter. I wished so much you we’re still here to hear this and for Bubble to call and tell you as I know you’d have been so proud, and she would have loved to have told you. I miss you more than ever on days like today. Thinking of you and love you to bits XOXOXOX
